“Viewfound” is a series developed through the examination of American vintage floral textiles, collected from thrift and vintage stores. Moving a viewfinder across the surface of different textiles until I find an inspiring composition, it is enlarged and remade into a painting. The process of abstraction reveals a new experience with a familiar motif, allowing for contemplation and revelation.
